“Espinheira” translates to thorn or haw — nature’s edge. SharpHaw takes that literal meaning and turns it into a philosophy. We don’t do soft edges, vague timelines, or fluffy metrics. We do sharp, pointed work that cuts through the noise and drives actual growth. The name is the promise.

Where I come from

I’m Gabriel — Gabs. 30 years old, originally from Rio de Janeiro, now based in Lisbon. I spent years as a Senior Software Engineer inside large companies, working on products used by thousands of businesses across Europe. That background shaped how I think about quality, speed, and what it actually means to ship something that works.

Why I built SharpHaw

I kept seeing the same story: small and mid-size businesses getting burned by people who didn’t know enough or didn’t care enough. Freelancers who disappeared. Agencies that overcharged and underdelivered. Developers who couldn’t design. Designers who couldn’t build. Nobody who understood the full picture — technical, design, marketing, and sales all at once. I built SharpHaw to be exactly that — one partner who gets all of it.

How I work

Remote-first, working with clients across Europe in English and Portuguese. Async whenever possible — because deep work beats busy work. I work directly with every client. No layers, no middlemen. If something breaks, I fix it. If an opportunity shows up, I move on it. You won’t get daily check-ins from me. You’ll get weekly results.
