How much does a marketing agency cost per month

Author

A marketing agency can cost a few hundred euros per month for one focused service, or several thousand for a website, content, advertising management and ongoing automation work. In the published European offers below, buying those four areas separately adds up to €4.254 per month, before software, setup fees and advertising spend.

SharpHaw Growth includes all four service areas and SharpOS for €2.500/month plus VAT, no annual contract. Add an illustrative €90,50 of separate tool subscriptions to the comparison basket, and the difference becomes €1.844,50 per month. The deliverables differ, so the scope beside each price matters as much as the total.

TL;DR: Our separate-service example totals €4.254 a month, or €4.344,50 with three optional paid tools. SharpHaw Growth, with all four service areas and SharpOS, is €2.500/month and Scale is €4.000/month. Foundation, the website on its own, is €1.000/month. All plans are plus VAT, no annual contract, and Custom is scoped on the call. Compare content volume, channels, ongoing work, setup and ownership before choosing. Count software savings only when you can cancel the corresponding subscription.

What does each marketing service cost per month?

Published prices become useful when you can see what they buy. The examples here come from German providers serving the European market, checked on 9 September 2026. We describe each by its model rather than its name. They are a small set of public offers, not a statistical market average. We use the listed fees before applicable taxes and keep one-off charges separate.

ServicePublished monthly examplesPrice used belowWhat that selected offer covers
Managed website€129–€359€279Business website, up to 15 pages, hosting and care, two hours of changes monthly
Content and social media€750–€1.995€1.995Five channels, 25–30 social posts and four blog articles monthly
Google Ads management€290–€890€490Search, Shopping and remarketing; intended for up to about €5.000 monthly media spend
Ongoing AI automationFrom €1.490 for continuing development€1.490Automation operation plus an allowance for continued expansion
Selected recurring service total€4.254Four separate purchases at these listed prices

The website example is a German agency's website subscription at its business tier. It also carries a €1.490 setup fee and a 12-month minimum at the selected rate. A maintenance allowance is different from a commitment to deliver a new campaign landing page every month.

The content example is a German social-media agency's top package, with €1.890 setup. It is selected because it includes four monthly blog articles. Its five-channel social scope exceeds Growth's three channels; customers supply raw material and handle community management. We have not added another blogging retainer to that package.

The advertising row comes from a Google Ads management provider's mid-tier offer. The €490 is the management fee. The advertising budget is paid separately. A €2.000 media budget would therefore make that part of the bill €2.490, not €490.

The automation row is an AI-automation consultancy's ongoing partner offer, from €1.490 monthly with a 12-month term. The same provider lists operation and maintenance from €290 monthly, and an automation sprint from €4.900 once. Those are different jobs. Use the lower maintenance fee only when you already have the automation and need that narrower service.

What does SharpOS replace in the software budget?

SharpOS is included with SharpHaw, with no separate workspace subscription. It brings the work queue, documents, approvals, creative assets, forms and reporting into the workspace used to deliver the service. That can remove the need to buy separate tools for those particular jobs.

For example, SharpOS Pages and Boards can hold the marketing brief, decisions, tasks and content calendar that a small team might otherwise keep in Notion. The content workflow can handle review and supported publishing needs that might otherwise require a separate scheduler. Forms can collect website enquiries, while Studio and Media Center keep approved creative and source assets alongside the work.

These are replacements for defined workflows. A company using Notion across finance, hiring and product development may still need Notion. A specialist publishing integration or form feature may also justify keeping its current tool. See the SharpOS workspace and check the actual workflow before cancelling anything.

Here is a small optional software basket, using monthly billing:

Separate subscriptionAssumptionMonthly cost
Notion PlusThree paid members at €11,50 each€34,50
Buffer TeamThree channels at $12 eachAbout €31,00
Tally ProOne paid forms workspace€25,00
Potential avoidable software spendOnly if all three subscriptions can be retiredAbout €90,50

Buffer's $36 is converted using the ECB reference rate for 8 September 2026, €1 = $1.1614, and rounded to €31 for this model. Your invoice exchange rate can differ.

All three providers have free options. This basket assumes a team already needs their paid collaboration, approval or branding features. If free tools cover your needs, the saving is zero. If the content supplier already provides the scheduler without a separate client bill, remove Buffer from the sum. A tool is a saving only when its bill goes away.

How does the total compare with SharpHaw?

At the selected providers' published prices, the four-service basket costs €4.254 monthly. Adding the optional €90,50 tool basket takes it to approximately €4.344,50. SharpHaw's Growth fee covers the four service areas and the shared SharpOS workspace together.

Monthly total€4.344,50€2.500€4.000
Difference from this example—€1.844,50 less€344,50 less

SharpHaw fees are plus VAT, no annual contract. Foundation, at €1.000/month, is not in this table because it is the website on its own: built to an agreed scope, hosted and kept up to date, with small text and photo changes on request, a blog you write in, and SharpOS. Set it against the website row, not the four-service basket. Custom, for separate software built around your operations, is scoped on the call.

Growth's fee is about 42% lower than this assembled monthly budget. Without any software saving, it is still €1.754 lower than the selected service subtotal. Those are price differences between the stated offers, not proof that every deliverable or provider is interchangeable.

Growth includes the website and ongoing upkeep, one new landing page per month, four blog posts per month, management of up to three channels, ads management, and AI automation work within the agreed priorities. SEO and GEO reporting, monitoring and improvements are part of the service. Social publishing cadence is agreed with the strategy; the plan does not promise the example provider's 25–30 posts across five channels.

Scale increases blogging to two posts per week, takes content and channel coverage beyond three channels, and supports e-commerce and deeper analytics. All four service areas are already in Growth. Moving to Scale is about greater volume and scope.

The work is prioritised together through SharpOS. A request queue does not mean every website change, campaign and automation runs simultaneously. Compare the current plans against the output your business will actually use.

What will you pay over the first year?

To compare the first year, multiply recurring fees by 12 and add setup charges once. That prevents a low monthly website rate from hiding an upfront build cost, and prevents a one-off automation project from being charged twelve times in your spreadsheet.

Using the same basket and holding its rounded software cost constant:

Twelve-month componentSeparate-service exampleSharpHaw GrowthSharpHaw Scale
Recurring services and illustrated tools€52.134€30.000€48.000
Listed website and content setup€3.380€0 setup fee€0 setup fee
Total of these known components€55.514€30.000€48.000

Foundation over the same 12 months is €12.000, with no setup fee.

The €3.380 is the website and content setup already identified. The automation partner's page does not settle every potential onboarding charge, so obtain a quote for the exact work. The example is a planning calculation, not an offer to buy all four services for a guaranteed total.

SharpHaw has no setup fee, minimum term or annual commitment. The 12-month figure assumes you choose to stay for 12 months. Ad spend goes directly to the platforms. Support AI usage through the client's OpenAI or OpenRouter account is separate, as are any other agreed external usage charges. Applicable taxes and migration costs are outside this comparison.

Ownership also changes the purchase. With SharpHaw, you own your domain, brand, content and advertising accounts; the website source code remains SharpHaw's. After cancellation, the website stays live for two months while we assist with exporting your content and data. A static HTML export is available by agreement. Buying an independently owned codebase is a different requirement and should be priced as such.

When is a monthly agency bundle worth the cost?

A bundle makes the strongest financial case when you need the website, content, ads and automation work on an ongoing basis. The value comes from buying the combination you will use, with a shared place to manage it. SharpOS can then reduce the separate software bill as well.

If you only need Google Ads management, a focused €290 or €490 service from the example above may cost less than a €2.500 bundle. If your website is the only problem, Foundation at €1.000/month is the plan to compare, not the bundle. If your website is already maintained, you publish internally and your automations need occasional care, the €4.254 basket overstates your needs. Some providers also sell lower-priced bundles; adding separate suppliers is only one way to buy.

Before comparing quotes, write down your monthly requirement: how many articles, which channels, what website work, which campaigns and what automation changes. Ask each supplier to price that same list. Then add setup, media, usage charges and the software subscriptions you would still retain.

That gives you a useful answer to “how much does a marketing agency cost per month?” For a business that needs our four service areas within Growth's scope, SharpHaw is €2.500/month plus VAT, no annual contract, with SharpOS included. Book a 30-min call to compare that scope with the work and subscriptions you are paying for today.
